A Yoga PhD.

We are currently accepting applications for our first ever Yoga PhD cohort to begin this year.
The 2020 Yoga PhD program is currently in development.  Are you a dreamer, visionary, forward thinker?
If this is something you would like to help create,
please let us know.  We are looking for creative and passionate yogis to bring this intention
to fruition ; )

What is a PhD and why a Yoga PhD?

A PhD is a postgraduate doctoral degree, awarded to students who complete an original thesis (think project rather than academic paper) offering a significant new contribution to knowledge in their subject (in this case Yoga). PhD qualifications are available in all subjects and are normally the highest level of academic degree a person can achieve. Ideal candidates should have years of yoga experience (practice and teaching). Yoga Alliance, Kripalu and International Yoga Therapy students are most welcome and your credits will certainly count towards your degree. The Yoga Research Center Ph.D. program incorporates interdisciplinary studies to expand and deepen your yoga knowledge and our collective expertise. Explore ideas and practices in applied yoga leadership, public policy, social change, ethics, creativity, innovation, design thinking, and beyond... What is your dream for Yoga?
